Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about MixOracle's DSP engine, security, supported formats, and audio coach workflows.
How does the Engineering Intelligence & DSP analysis work?
MixOracle uses deterministic Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms to extract hundreds of objective audio features from your track. We map physical measurements—such as True Peak, integrated LUFS, crest factor, spectral balance, stereo correlation, and dynamic range—against empirical mixing standards and genre-specific targets to provide actionable, 100% math-backed advice without hallucinations.
Are my unreleased tracks and audio files secure?
Absolutely. We treat pre-release music with bank-grade confidentiality. Your tracks are processed in an isolated ephemeral environment, purged immediately upon analysis completion, and never retained as a persistent source-audio cache. Audio playback after a session refresh may require re-uploading your track. We never train generative AI or machine learning models on your audio.
Does MixOracle automatically change or process my audio file?
No. MixOracle is designed to be your objective listening companion and mix diagnostics coach, not an automatic black-box mastering algorithm. It identifies specific problems (like 'Low-end masking at 180Hz' or 'Harshness buildup at 3.2kHz') and provides precise numerical instructions so you can make the fixes yourself inside your DAW, retaining complete creative authority.
Do I get specific instructions for my DAW and third-party plugins?
Yes! The AI Mix Coach translates high-level engineering advice into step-by-step instructions tailored to your specific DAW (Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Studio One, Reaper, Bitwig, Cubase) and your preferred plugin suites (FabFilter, Waves, iZotope, Universal Audio, or stock DAW plugins).
How does the Multi-Platform Playback Preview audition my mix?
Our Playback Preview engine accurately simulates the loudness normalization algorithms (Spotify, Apple Music Sound Check, YouTube -14 LUFS, Instagram Mobile Filters, TIDAL) and lossy codec compression artifacts (Ogg Vorbis, AAC, Opus) before release. This lets you hear transient clipping and high-frequency roll-off before you publish.
How do credits work and how many iterations can I do?
One credit equals one full diagnostic iteration. The free Insight tier includes 10 starter credits, while the Oracle plan includes 100 monthly credits (~100 track iterations). Re-checking single issues or verifying health scores between export versions is streamlined to support rapid iteration loops.
What audio file formats and sample rates are supported?
MixOracle natively supports WAV, AIFF, FLAC, and high-bitrate MP3 files across all standard sample rates (44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz, 96 kHz, and 192 kHz) up to 32-bit floating point depth.
